my story

Laura Marie Baxa

FOR THE LOVE OF Nature

 always and forever.

Since I was a little girl growing up on a

farm in southeast Nebraska I was able to admire nature......

the pastures and their wildflowers, plum creek and its reef we played in, the summer farm that even my kids were able to enjoy with my parents.

I was so lucky to se nature in its rawness every day growing up.

in the fall of 2016 i saw a few goldenrod flowers while walking

and

they reminded me of home so i decided to try and press them.

since then i have been developing

my craft of pressing and drying botanicals.

this means having an eye for BOTANICAls,

pressing or drying them using

different techniques

and

most importantly

creating a lasting art piece to enjoy,

another area I have found interest in is what I call my nature pieces.......

acorns, PINE CONEs, tree bark and branches. the list of my nature finds is growing daily.

My craft has become a passion...

so come along with me and we can enjoy this together.

I ASPIRE TO CREATE

A

"ONE OF A KINd"

piece of

botanical art

that can be

 admired

for a very, very long time.
